For children with Mental
Health Problems & Neurological Disorders. During this camp,
eminent consultants of these fields are giving their services
like: Psychiatrist, Neurologist, Paediatrician, Special Educationist,
Psychologist, Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist, Remedial
teacher, Homoeopath & Yoga therapist. All the children are
examined by the relevant consultants of the panel & parents
are given free consultation & education regarding diagnosis,
prognosis future options & various modes of therapeutic
interventions, education and rehabilitation.
IN 09-01-2004, we held such camps at Shivajinagar near Deonar.
1 Paediatrician, 6 Psychologist, 7 Special Educationist, 5 Occupational
Therapist, 2 Medical Social Workers, 2 Psychiatrist, 2 Neurologist,
2 Physiotherapist, 3 Yoga Therapists, 16 Senior & 20 Junior
Homoeopathic Doctors gave their services.
· 390 children
were examined by the entire team of relevant consultants. 4
such panels were formed.
· 500 parents were given
free guidance regarding diagnosis, prognosis, future options
in terms of therapeutic interventions, education and rehabilitation.
Children suffering from cerebral palsy,
M.R., Attention deficit disorders, Down's syndrome as well as
other behavioral & psychiatric disorders presented.
Through these projects, we conducted following camps for awareness,
orientation, free medications, free educational materials &
appliances in 2003-2004

| FREE CAMP FOR
TEACHERES: |
Teachers are given orientation
to mental health problems of children and their educational
implications. It is not simply exposition but becomes mini workshop
where teachers, receive experience of psycho educational dynamics
of children suffering from learning disabilities & hyperactivity.
They also get insight about their handling, education and training.
They are oriented towards role of Holistic Medical Care (i.e.
Homoeopathy & Yoga) and Special Educational Care with proper
emphasis on multidisciplinary approach.
FREE CAMP FOR PARENTS:
We organize camps for parents of school children to help them
to
a) Identify early, children with mental health problems &
learning disorders.
b) To get an insight to psycho educational dynamics of these
problems.
c) To appreciate various options which are available to them.
d) To get an insight to Holistic Medical Care & Special
Educational Care for them.
e) To reduce their insecurities and frustration.
f) To help them to be more realistic.
